[7/19/2014] Madonna Japan looks to crowd funding to help pay for expenses

Madonna Japan has turned to WESYM in hopes of finding supporters that are interested in helping to offset some of the expenses that will go into winning their fourth straight World Cup Tournament.  The project is a direct type and they have set their goal at three million seeds.  As of July 20, 1:45am, nine supporters have contributed 26,000 seeds.  The project will end on November 1, 2014 at 0:00 (JST).

Expenses include:

  • scouting reports for their own players
  • overhead costs for their mini-camp in August
  • practice equipment
  • venue rental costs
  • overhead costs during the World Cup in September
  • scouting reports for opposing teams


  • 500 seeds = A thank you letter from Madonna Japan
  • 3,000 seeds = Above plus a thank you video from Madonna Japan, your name on a supporter's board
  • 5,000 seeds = Above plus a mention on the Women's Baseball Federation of Japan website
  • 10,000 seeds = Above plus a commemorative Madonna Japan newspaper and a team photo
  • 30,000 seeds = Above plus a photo book
  • 50,000 seeds = Above plus a game-used baseball and a set of photos for all twenty players
  • 100,000 seeds = Above plus an official baseball signed by all twenty players
  • 150,000 seeds = Above plus a replica uniform signed by all twenty players
  • 300,000 seeds = Above plus a special appearance by several players (only appearance cost is covered, other costs, like travel expenses and lodging, are not)
