Yomiuri Giants

  • Toshiya Sugiuchi threw thirty-nine pitches in the bullpen at Giants Stadium on Sunday.  He is slated to start Tuesday's game against Hanshin at Koshien. Source: Nikkan Sports 7/20/2014
  • Tetsuya Utsumi threw 131 pitches in the bullpen on Saturday.  He will most likely get a start during the Chunichi series that begins on the 25th at Nagoya Dome. Source: Sanpso 7/20/2014

Hanshin Tigers

  • Ryoma Matsuda (right elbow) is scheduled to pitch an inning in a Ni-gun rehab intra-squad game on the 23rd.  He could begin pitching in Ni-gun rehab games in August. Source: Nikkan Sports 7/20/2014, Daily Sports 7/20/2014
  • Yuta Iwasada is slated to start a Ni-gun game against Chunichi on the 27th.  If he continues to make good progress at Ni-gun, he could make it to the active roster some time in mid-August. Source: Sanspo 7/20/2014

  • Yoshinori Tateyama threw forty-three pitches, including the forkball, in the bullpen on Saturday.  He will be with the Ni-gun team for a two-game series against Chunichi (July 26-27).  If he pitches well, he could be available for the active roster for the Yakult series that begins on the 29th at Koshien. Hiroshima Carp

  • Kenjiro Nomura is planning to added Ryuji Ichioka (right shoulder) to the active roster on Monday. Source: Daily Sports 7/20/2014
