Hanshin Tigers

  • Yoshinori Tateyama might join the Ichi-gun team for workouts on Monday.  He could also make the active roster on Tuesday.  Tateyama tossed a shutout inning in relief, while allowing two hits, against Ni-gun Chunichi on Saturday. Source: Nikkan Sports 7/27/2014
  • Ryosuke Ogata and umpire Ryohei Imaoka complained of feeling sick (like heat sickness) after the 5th inning of a Ni-gun game on the 26th against Chunichi.  Both Ogata and Imaoka were taken out of the game before the start of the 6th. Source: Daily Sports 7/27/2014

Hiroshima Carp

  • The Carp held a press conference for Deunte Heath on Sunday. Source: official announcement
  • Daichi Osera on the cramp he developed during his last start on the 26th: "It felt like the cramp was mostly in the back area of my right hamstring.  I've been drinking a lot of water so I don't think it was dehydration.  I'm not really sure what the problem is.  I'm out here practicing like this and I'm not really having any major difficulties.  I'm fine."
