Yomiuri Giants

  • Ryosuke Miyaguni threw about thirty-five pitches in the bullpen at Giants Stadium on Monday in preparation for his start on Thursday against Yokohama at Yokohama. Source: Sponichi 8/5/2014

  • The Tigers will be auctioning off the alternate Uru-Tora-no Natsu 2014 uniforms worn by coaches and players.  The auction will start on August 5 at 12:00 and end on August 14 at 23:00.  Proceeds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society. Source: official announcement

Chunichi Dragons

  • The Dragons donated the baseball from Hitoki Iwase's 400th career save to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Tokyo.  The ball will be put on display at the museum beginning at 3:30pm on August 8. Source: Nikkan Sports 8/5/2014
