[8/8/2014] Injury Report: Yoshiyuki Kamei (Yomiuri Giants), Kosuke Tanaka (Hiroshima)

Yomiuri Giants

  • Yoshiyuki Kamei was taken off the active roster on Friday.  He hurt his left leg while running the bases during Thursday's game against the Yokohama Bay Stars.  He was examined at a hospital on Friday and diagnosed with a mild strain in his left thigh.  He will require two to the three weeks for a full recovery. Hanshin Tigers

  • Daiki Enokida was taken off the active roster on Friday with discomfort in his left shoulder. Source: Sponichi 8/8/2014

Hiroshima Carp

  • Kosuke Tanaka was removed from Friday's game against Hanshin after he took a batted ball off his face.  The incident took place in the 3rd inning with runners on first and second.  Mauro Gomez hit a ball that took a bad hop and struck Tanaka in the face.  The ball rolled out toward foul territory and both runners scored.  Tanaka was conscious and walking around, but was bleeding from his mouth.
