Softbank Hawks

  • Jason Standridge (Hanshin, Softbank) joined Nate Minchey (Hiroshima, Lotte), Jeremy Powell (Kintetsu, Orix, Yomiuri), Dennis Houlton (Softbank, Yomiuri), and Seth Greisinger (Yakult, Yomiuri, Lotte) as the only foreign players in NPB history to record ten or more victories in a season with teams from both leagues.  Dennis Sarfate (Hiroshima, Softbank) joined Marc Kroon (Yokohama, Yomiuri) as the only foreign players in NPB history to record thirty-save seasons with two different teams.  Sarfate became the first to accomplish the feat with teams from different leagues. Nippon Ham Fighters

  • The three (Dai-Kang Yoh), four (Sho Nakata), and five (Shohei Otani) hitters all hit home runs during Tuesday's game against the Chiba Lotte Marines.  The last time the three, four, and five hitters went yard in the same game was on September 14, 2008 (Atsunori Inaba, Shinji Takahashi, and Terrmel Sledge).  Since 2001, the Fighters are 31-1 in games where they hit three or more home runs at Sapporo Dome.
