Rakuten Eagles

  • Yuki Matsui's next two starts will likely come on the 20th against Nippon Ham at Asahikawa and on the 27th against Seibu at kobo Stadium. Source: Sponichi 8/19/2014

Chiba Lotte Marines

Softbank Hawks

  • Toru Hosokawa will temporarily stop using Kiyoshi Hikawa's Zundoko-bushi for his intro music because the singer recently made headlines due to allegations of physically abusing a former manager. Source: Nikkan Sports 8/19/2014

Nippon Ham Fighters

  • There is a chance Shohei Otani will get a few extra days of rest before his next start.  They could also put him on a 130-pitch limit. Source: Nikkan Sports 8/20/2014 ... Otani set a career high by throwing 149 pitches during his last start on the 17th.  The staff will be monitoring his fatigue levels over the next few days before deciding how to proceed with him.
