The latest on Yu Darvish, from the Dalla Morning News' Evan Grant:

Yu Darvish is apparently healing rapidly and significantly from the elbow inflammation that sidelined him more than three weeks ago.

... In all likelihood, what has been a very real possibility — that Darvish won’t pitch again this season — will become official sometime this weekend. Darvish will undergo a follow-up exam with team medical director Dr. Keith Meister on Thursday in Arlington. Then the team will assess the next step.

... There are barely more than three weeks remaining in the season. If Darvish is given the all-clear sign, he would start a throwing program and then work back up to game action. That would take a minimum of two weeks, more likely three, and because minor league seasons will be complete, there would be no rehab games in which to pitch him. And even if he did that, it might get him one start.
