Yomiuri Giants

  • Tomoyuki Sugano (right middle finger) pitched in his first rehab game on Thursday. He started a Ni-gun game against Lotte and gave up three runs on seven hits over two innings of work. He threw forty-nine pitches, walked/hit none, and topped out at 149km/h. He was originally scheduled to pitch three innings, but his day was cut short because of his pitch count. This was his first game in about a month. He could make his next start at Ichi-gun during a three-game series against Hanshin that begins on the 9th.
