  • Tsuyoshi Nishioka played in a Ni-gun rehab game against Orix on Tuesday. He was the starting designated hitter and batted lead-off. Yokohama Bay Stars

  • Takayuki Kajitani hit lead-off home runs in consecutive games (Tuesday and Wednesday) for the first time in his Ichi-gun career. Source: Sanspo 9/10/2014 ...   • The Bay Stars recorded nine-inning complete game shutouts in back-to-back games on Tuesday (Yasutomo Kubo) and Wednesday (Shun Yamaguchi) for the first time since 2000 (May 2 - Takashi Saito; May 3 - Satoru Komiyama). Yokohama recorded consecutive shutouts in 2012 as well (April 11 - Shogo Yamamoto - six innings; April 12 - Daisuke Miura), but one of the games ended after six innings due to rain.   • Two players were in the car when Yuta Kakita hit a parked vehicle while moving out of a parking space in a store lot on August 29. The two players, Shun Yamashita and Taiki Sekine, were given three-day suspensions. Kakita was given a stern warning, a one-week suspension, an indefinite driving ban, and twenty-four-hour curfew until the end of the season. Players living in the team dormitory will take a traffic safety course on the 11th. Kakita and the owner of the vehicle reached a settlement on the 8th.
