Chunichi Dragons

  • The first day of fall camp at Nagoya Stadium lasted about eight hours -- the day started at 10:00am and ended after 6:00pm. Source: Sponichi 10/30/2014

Hiroshima Carp

  • Takeru Imamura started feeling discomfort in his right shoulder in June. He aggravated the shoulder while pitching in the Phoenix League (3 G, 14.0 IP, 8 R) and was shut down. He will continue to get rest in November and will work his way back in December and January. The injury does not appear to be serious. Source: Daily Sports 10/30/2014
  • Takashi Uemoto (24) and Tomohiro Abe (25) have filed marriage papers. Uemoto with twenty-five-year-old reporter Emi Nakahara and Abe with a thirty-two-year-old woman from Fukuoka. Source: Daily Sports 10/30/2014

Yokohama Bay Stars

  • The Bay Stars are planning to name bullpen catcher/Ni-gun equipment manager Kazuo Fujita (34) their new Ni-gun Ikusei coach. Fujita played high school ball at Imabari Nishi, college ball at Doshisha University, and then spent nine years playing for Nihon Seimei. He retired in 2010 without ever having played professionally and joined the Yokohama organization as a bullpen catcher in 2012. Source: Sponichi 10/30/2014
