Rakuten Eagles

  • The Eagles announced two additions to the coaching staff: Shuji Yoshida (47) as Ichi-gun pitching coach (bullpen) and Kento Sugiyama (45) as Ni-gun pitching coach. Source: official announcement

Seibu Lions

  • The Lions are planning to split players into smaller groups during fall camp. Each group will be made up of players with similar qualities that will be competing for spots to Ichi-gun spring camp next year. Source: Daily Sports 11/1/2014
  • The Lions are planning to give Miguel Mejia (26) and Esmerling Vasquez (30) tryouts during fall camp. They arrived in Japan on Saturday and will join the team at Seibu 2 Stadium on Sunday. Source: Nikkan Sports 11/1/2014

Chiba Lotte Marines

  • The Marines dropped their second game against the Lamigo Monkeys on Saturday, 5-4. Source: Sports Hochi 11/1/2014
  • Yuki Karakawa started Friday's game and gave up a run over six innings of work. Takayuki Kanamori entered the game in the 8th and surrendered a solo home run. Softbank Hawks

  • Dennis Sarfate returned to the United States out of Fukuoka Airport on Saturday. Before leaving, he told reporters he wanted to end his career with the Hawks. Source: Nikkan Sports 11/1/2014
