  • Yusuke Nomura threw from the wind-up during a bullpen session on Saturday. He also tested a forkball. He threw sixty-eight pitches. Nomura switched over to a no-wind-up delivery and added a shuto this season, but struggled with balance and control issues. He is in the process of finding his ideal weight. He started at seventy-eight kilograms in his first year and was at eight-four kilograms this year. He felt he increased his weight too much and is now at about eighty-one kilograms.   • Koichi Ogata sat Takahiro Iwamoto, Hayato Shoji, and Kosuke Nakamura down in the dugout after workouts on Saturday because he felt they were not trying hard enough. The three could be sent back to Hiroshima on Monday. Source: Daily Sports 11/9/2014

Yakult Swallows

  • Yoshinori Sato pitched in a batting practice scrimmage on Saturday. He faced seven hitters, threw twenty-seven pitches, allowed one hit, walked two, struck out two, and topped out at 150km/h. It was his first outing against hitters in about two months. He is scheduled to pitch two innings during a practice game against the Ehime Mandarin Pirates (Shikoku Island League) on the 16th.
