The Hanshin Tigers announced today that they reached an agreement with thirty-five-year-old Atsushi Nomi. According to media reports, the two sides agreed to a three-year deal worth an estimated 450 million yen.
Speaking at a press conference held earlier today at the team offices in Nishinomiya, Atsushi said, "...it means a lot that they offered me a three-year deal at this age." He added, "I didn't have a good year, but they still said that they needed me. That made me really happy."
