Munenori Kawasaki (33) has a better idea of where he wants to play next year. He still needs a little more time, but is planning to make an announcement soon. A number of teams in Japan have an interest in the infielder, incuding Softbank and Orix. It is possible that he may be nearing a deal with a team in Japan. Source: Nikkan Sports 11/18/2014

The Hanshin Tigers are planning to review their initial offer to Hiroyuki Nakajima (32) and make adjustments as necessary. They could re-submit a new offer some time before the end of the month. They want to make sure their offer is solid. They are competing against Nakajima's former team, the Seibu Lions. They could also be competing with a number of other teams, like Orix and Rakuten.
