Softbank Hawks

  • The Hawks announced that Yuya Hasegawa had surgery on his right ankle at a hospital in Nara on Thursday. He will be discharged on the 7th and will need about two months for a full recovery. Source: Sports Hochi 12/4/2014
  • Daisuke Matsuzaka would like to head into the 2015 season at eighty-five to eighty-six kilograms. He pitched the last few season at around ninety-two kilograms. Nippon Ham Fighters

  • Sho Nakata hopes to continue rewarding younger players with prizes if they attain their personal season goals. He first started two years ago. This year Yuya Taniguchi, Naoyuki Uwasawa, and Shingo Ishikawa reached their goals. Taniguchi and Uwasawa each got necklaces worth over 600,000 yen and Ishikawa got a suitcase and a Boston bag.
