Scott Boras is discussing Takashi Toritani with a number of MLB teams as a second baseman. There is also interest in his ability to play third and short. The Yakult Swallows sent their list of protected players to both Lotte (Yoshihisa Naruse) and Nippon Ham (Keiji Obiki) on Tuesday. The lists are reportedly different. Slightly old news: Tetsuya Yamaguchi (31) agreed to a salary worth 320 million yen next year with the Yomiuri Giants on November 25.
