Rakuten Eagles

  • The fences in left-center and right-center at YafuOku Dome will be pushed in up to six meters to make room for extra seats. Distances to left (100 meters), right (100 meters), and center (122 meters) will remain unchanged. The walls, at about 5.8 meters high, will be shortened by roughly two meters -- the main wall will be 2.7 meters high with a meter of protective netting above it. Nippon Ham Fighters

  • Yu Darvish appeared on TV Asahi's Hodo Station on Wednesday and spoke about Shohei Otani. Darvish suggested that Otani be allowed to pick one position if he was really serious about playing in the Majors. When asked which position, he replied, "Pitcher.   • The Nippon Ham vs Softbank game at YafuOku Dome on April 10 was moved to September 28. The venue for the Nippon Ham vs Orix game on July 28 changed from Wakasa Stadium Kyoto to Hotto Motto Field Kobe; the venue for the Nippon Ham vs Orix game on July 30 changed from Hotto Motto Field Kobe to Wakasa Stadium Kyoto. Softbank home games venue changes: vs Nippon Ham on April 11 will take place at Kamoike Baseball Field in Kagoshima; vs Nippon Ham on April 12 will take place at Fujisakidai Baseball Stadium in Kumamoto; vs Orix on May 19 and vs Lotte on July 20 will take place at Kitakyushu Stadium; vs Seibu on June 29 will take place at Tokyo Dome.
