  • Former Yomiuri Giant Koji Uehara was a guest at a screening for Vancouver-no Asahi on Sunday. An actor from the film, Satoshi Tsumabuki, was at the event and asked Uehara a series of questions. "Do you want to spend the rest of your career in the Majors?" So long as I'm wanted. "Will you return to Japan to play?" I might consider it if there is no interest [in the United States]. "Actors are often asked if they want to become directors. I don't think that's possible for me, but have you ever thought about managing?" I would like to manage high school or college ball, but I never thought at the professional level. I want to manage at the amateur level. When reporters later approached Uehara and asked if he would play for the Giants if/when he returned, he replied, "That's kind of hard to say..." Source: Daily Sports 1/12/2015
