  • Second round draft pick Eisuke Tanaka returned to Kyoto on the 25th to finishi his graduation thesis. He tossed a bullpen session to a squatting catcher on the 26th. He made it back to the Ni-gun facilities on the 28th and tossed another session to a squatting catcher on Thursday. He told reporters that his thesis came back with corrections he had to fix. Seibu Lions

  • Tatsuya Oishi had right shoulder problems last year and was unable to pitch in an Ichi-gun game. He will start the year at Ni-gun spring camp. He told reporters on Thursday he felt no pain in his shoulder and that he planned to toss a bullpen session on the first day of spring camp as a way to show coaches he would be ready to pitch in exhibition games.
