Yomiuri Giants

  • Ikusei second round draft pick Takuya Kawai and Daiki Yoshikawa ran 3,640 meters during a Yo-Yo Endurance Test on Tuesday. Source: Nikkan Sports 2/3/2015
  • Hisayoshi Chono (right knee, right elbow) resumed playing catch on Monday, a week earlier than scheduled. He maxed out at a distance of thirty meters. He threw the ball forty times. It was the first time he threw a baseball in about three months. It is uncertain if he will be called up on the 16th, but he could be ready to play in exhibition games in early March.   • Shinnosuke Abe and Shuichi Murata tossed bullpen sessions on Monday to work on their lower bodies (as suggested by Tatsunori Hara).
