Yomiuri Giants

  • Ichi-gun and Ni-gun camp had the day off on Tuesday.

Hanshin Tigers

  • Hiroaki Saiuchi and Naoto Nishida were sent down to Ni-gun camp on the 16th. Saiuchi gave up two runs on five hits over two innings against Samsung on the 13th. Nishida went 1-for-9 in three scrimmages/games. Source: Sanspo 2/17/2015
  • Third round draft pick Taiga Egoshi will donate 140 game uniforms to the Komzawa University baseball. The uniforms will cost about one million yen. Source: Sponichi 2/17/2015
  • Yutaka Wada experienced some dizziness after waking on the 15th and was examined at a hospital. The media learned on Monday that Wada ended up staying at the hospital over-night as a precaution.   • A couple of mounds at Ginoza camp were rebuilt with the same kind of mound clay used at MLB stadiums. One mound has a landing area made only of clay. Another has clay blocks buried under clay. The mounds at Koshien could be rebuilt to similar specifications. Mounds at Tokyo Dome and Mazda Stadium have already been converted.   • Ichi-gun and Ni-gun camp had the day off on Tuesday.
  • Hiroki Kuroda left Hiroshima for Okinawa on Tuesday. Nearly 200 fans saw him off at the airport. Over in Okinawa, over 300 fans greeted the veteran at Naha Airport. Source: Daily Sports 2/17/2015
