Softbank Hawks

  • Ichi-gun and Ni-gun camp had the day off on Monday.
  • Hiroki Yamada will pitch in Tuesday's practice game against Lotte after his exhibition game start against Seibu on Sunday was rained out. Shota Takeda will start the game on Tuesday. Takeda and Yamada will throw about eight innings combined. Relievers could get work in Ni-gun Kyoiku League games. Source: Sponichi 2/23/2015
  • Yuya Hasegawa had surgery on his right knee in December last year and was assigned to group B spring camp. He is slated to continue his rehab and training in Miyazaki for the rest of the month. If he does not suffer any setbacks, he could play in a number of rehab Kyoiku League games between March 3 and 8. If he does well, he could play in his first exhibition game on March 11 (vs Yomiuri at YafuOku Dome). Source: Nikkan Sports 2/23/2015

Orix Buffaloes

  • Ichi-gun camp had the day off on Monday.

  • Tony Blanco took things a little slow during the fifth block of camp because coaches were concerned he was pushing himself too hard, too early (he had problems with both his hamstrings last season). He is hoping to join general team workouts on the 24th. He may not play in his first game until March 4 (exhibition game against Chunichi at Kyocera Dome). Nippon Ham Fighters

  • Ni-gun camp had the day off on Monday.
  • The Fighters announced that they sold out of tickets for their home opener on March 27. They are planning to sell tickets to seats with poor sight lines beginning on March 12 at 12:00pm. Seibu Lions
