Nippon Ham Fighters

  • Masaru Takeda and Yuki Saito will be sent down to Ni-gun for pitching opportunities. Takeda is set to start a Kyoiku League game against Lotte on March 6. Saito will start a Kyoiku League game against Yakult on March 7. Source: Nikkan Sports 3/4/2015

Chiba Lotte Marines

  • Second round draft pick Eisuke Tanaka is not expected to make the opening day starting rotation. He could still make the opening day active roster as a reliever. The opening day starting rotation could include Hideaki Wakui, Ayumu Ishikawa, Yuki Karakawa, Takahiro Fujioka, Dae-Eun Rhee, and Yuta Kimura. Kuan-Yu Chen is also a possibility. Rakuten Eagles

  • Wily Mo Pena wanted the uniform number 42, but it was already assigned to Kenny Ray. The Eagles managed to work things out and will be able to give the slugger the same number he wore when he was with Orix last year. Ray will most likely be assigned the uniform number twelve.
