Yomiuri Giants

  • The Giants are thinking about adding Takahiko Nomaguchi to the seventy-man roster. Nomaguchi had surgery on his right elbow in Septmber 2013. He was able to participate in regular workouts during spring camp this year and tossed a shutout inning in a Kyoiku League game against Nippon Ham on March 11. Source: Nikkan Sports 3/12/2015
  • Hirokazu Sawamura was slated to be the fifth pitcher used by Samurai Japan during the Global Baseball Match game on March 11, but was scratched because of discomfort in his right arm.     Ha, ha! Think having Sawamura pitch the last couple innings woulda helped the Samurais on March 11? Lotta work to do before the Premier 12!
