Yomiuri Giants

  • Shuichi Murata swung at ninety pitches during live batting practice and 198 pitches during indoor batting practice against a pitching machine at Giants Stadium on March 14. Murata was sent down to Ni-gun due to his struggles at Ichi-gun. Source: Sponichi 3/15/2015

Hanshin Tigers

  • Yao-Lin Wang (tryout) pitched in a batting practice scrimmage on March 15. He faced hitters like Shintaro Yokota and Shinta Hifumi seven times and gave up three hits.   • The Bay Stars drew 24,829 fans on March 15, most for an exhibition game at Yokohama Stadium since 2005, when teams started announcing attendance figures to the public. Top attendance figures for exhibition games have increased for the Bay Stars each year since DeNA took over: 10,959 on March 24, 2012 against Yomiuri; 12,931 on March 20, 2013 against Rakuten; and 17,881 on March 15, 2014 against Hanshin.
