  • Ni-gun game against Seibu on March 22: Masaru Takeda started the game and gave up a run on two hits over three innings of work. He faced eleven, walked none, and struck out one. First round draft pick Kohei Arihara made his debut. He relieved Takeda and tossed a shutout inning in relief. He needed just ten pitches to record three outs and topped out at 149km/h.
