Softbank Hawks

  • Ni-gun game against Chunichi on July 10: Tadashi Settsu started the game and gave up two runs over six innings of work. He faced twenty-three batters, threw eighty-one pitches, allowed four hits, walked one, and struck out seven. He gave up solo home runs to Masataka Iryo (1st inning) and Takuto Fujisawa (5th inning). Otani accomplished the feat in his third year. The last Fighter to do the same was Yu Darvish in 2011. Otani recorded his tenth victory in his thirteenth game, Darvish in his nineteenth. Seibu Lions

  • Over ten Seibu players, including Takeya Nakamura, Akiyama, Tomoya Mori, and Tomomi Takahashi, could be named to the general Samurai Japan roster. There will be fifty to sixty players on the general roster. A full list will be released on July 16. The Premier 12 roster will be made up of players selected from the general roster.
