Yomiuri Giants

Hanshin Tigers

  • Through July 15, Atsushi Nomi was 79-66 with a 3.23 ERA over his career. He has done well against Hiroshima with a 21-9 record and a 2.38 ERA. He has struggled the most against Yakult at 8-12 with a 4.27 ERA. Source: Sanspo 7/15/2015

Yokohama Bay Stars

  • The Bay Stars blasted three home runs in one inning against the Yomiuri Giants on July 14 and became the first team in either league to hit three or more in one inning this season. Yokohama last hit three home runs in one inning on September 23, 2005 vs Yakult (four home runs in the 9th inning). They hit three home runs in one inning against the Giants for the first time since May 3, 2005 (three in the 9th). It was the first time in franchise history that the Bay Stars recorded sixteen or more hits in two consecutive games against the Giants (sixteen on July 13 and sixteen on July 14).
