Post-game Hero Interview
Post-game Interview Translation
Eri Yoshida, congratulations on your first win.
How do you feel?
This is my third season with the Ishikawa Million Stars. I had a hard time getting that first win, but I finally managed it today and I feel really happy about that.
What did you think of the way your teammates congratulated you after your hero interview?
I think we won today because everyone worked hard until the end -- the pitchers threw well, the hitters made contact, and the fielders made their plays. This was a team effort and we won together. We were all able enjoy and I was just so happy.
This question goes back to the game, but how did you approach the game when you loaded the bases?
Honestly, I haven't had many opportunities to pitch in close or tie games. When I got into the bases loaded jam, I just knew I didn't want to give up any runs.
Last question. The season is still only half finished. Please tell us what you'd like to accomplish before the end of the season.
The first-half, well, I've pitched in two games so far. I'm still not really happy about how I pitched the last time and this time. I want to continue polishing my knuckleball and become the type of knuckleballer that can help my team win.
This was Yoshida-san, with her hair still wet from the water celebration.
Yoshida posted an update at her blog with pictures from the post-game interview and celebration.
