Hanshin Tigers

  • Takumi Akiyama, Akira Iwamoto, Suguru Iwazaki pitched in a batting practice scrimmage at Koshien on July 18. The three pitchers are candidates for the back-end of the starting rotation.   • Rafael Perez pitched in a batting practice scrimmage at Nagoya Dome on July 17. He faced thirteen hitters, allowed two hits, and topped out at 138km/h. He picked off Kyohei Kamezawa twice at first base. Drew Naylor also pitched in the batting practice scrimmage. He faced ten hitters and allowed five hits, including a home run to Kazuyuki Akasaka.
