  • Kota Futaki picked up his first professional victory on July 22 during a Ni-gun game against Rakuten. He started the game and gave up four runs on six hits over five innings of work. He threw seventy-seven pitches, faced twenty-two hitters, walked two, struck out six, and topped out at 142km/h. It was his nineteenth game of the year, sixth as a starter.
