  • The Buffaloes announced that they are going to add Ikusei pitcher Nobuyoshi Yamada to the seventy-man roster. His uniform number will change from 121 to 57. Source: official announcement

Nippon Ham Fighters

  • Ni-gun game against Lotte: Yuki Saito started the game and gave up four runs on eleven hits over five innings of work. He gave up a two-run home run to Chad Huffman in the 3rd. Chiba Lotte Marines

  • The Marines are looking for some pitching help. Nikkan Sports reported on July 26 that they were interested in twenty-three-year-old Carlos Perez, currently playing for the BC League's Fukushima Hopes.
