Softbank Hawks

Seibu Lions

  • Kona Takahashi recorded the first win of his career on August 9 against the Orix Buffaloes and became the eighth Seibu pitcher drafted out of high school to record his first career victory in his first year, first since Hideaki Wakui in 2005 (seventh game). The win came in Takahashi's second appearance of the year. He became the first Seibu pitcher to record his first win within his first two games since Daisuke Matsuzaka notched his first win in his first game in 1999. Source: Nikkan Sports 8/10/2015 ...   • Takeya Nakamura blasted his fourth grand slam of the season on August 9. The NPB record of five was set by Michio Nishizawa in 1950. Nakamura is tied with five other players for second: Hiromitsu Kadota (1983), Boomer Wells (1987), Ty Van Burkleo (1988), Makoto Imaoka (2005), and Tyrone Woods (2006).
