  • Four foreign pitchers have recorded winnings streaks of seven or more games in franchise history: Balvino Galvez (seven, 1996), Brian Sikorski (seven, 2005), Miles Mikolas (seven, 2015), and Dicky Gonzalez (nine, 2009).   • General manager Katsuhiro Nakamura returned from his scouting trip in the United States on August 9.   • Hirofumi Yamanaka needed only ninety-six pitches for his nine-inning shutout against Hiroshima on August 11. The last pitcher in the NPB to toss a nine-inning shutout without throwing more than 100 pitches was Hiroshi Kisanuki on June 13, 2013 (against Hanshin, ninety-one pitches). The last Yakult pitcher was Masanori Ishikawa on September 25, 2007 (against Hiroshima, ninety-eight pitches).
