The thirty-three-year-old told them he "want[s] to try to go to a team that can give me playing time, regardless of money." The only question is whether they feel the fans support the move (the team failing to make the Climax Series is probably a strike against posting the ace). MLB teams that could be interested: Diamondbacks, Dodgers, Royals, Giants, Braves, and Red Sox. The Carp will consider his request, but like last year, they will base their decision on their ability to compete next season and whether or not fans will accept his departure.
