Hanshin Tigers

  • Takashi Toritani played in his eleventh straight full season. The eleven full seasons is good for a third place tie on the all-time list with Sadaharu Oh. Sachio Kinugasa is in first with seventeen and Tomoaki Kanemoto in second with twelve. This was Toritani's sixth every inning season (2006, 2008, 2012-2015). He is in a second place tie on the all-time list with Hideki Matsui. Kanemoto holds the lead with ten. Source: Nikkan Sports 10/5/2015

Hiroshima Carp

  • Kenta Maeda could start the deciding game of the season on October 7 on four days of rest. Hiroki Kuroda could also be available to pitch if necessary. Source: Sponichi 10/5/2015
  • Kuroda is the fifth pitcher in NPB history to record at least eleven victories in one season after turning forty, first since Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi (eleven) and Masahiro Yamamoto (eleven) in 2008.
