  • A Softbank Hawks Nippon Series championship could have an economic impact of about 40.3 billion yen in Fukuoka, according to research conducted by Fukuoka Prefecture. • Pitching coach Kazuyuki Atsuzawa told reporters they basically had two options with Shohei Otani: either give him a start on six days of rest on October 4 against Lotte at QVC Marine and then a limited Game 1 Climax Series start on five days of rest on October 10, or give him the Game 1 Climax Series start on twelve days of rest. After weighing the options, they decided it made more sense to give Otani the Game 1 Climax Series start on twelve days of rest. Source: ZakZak 10/6/2015
