  • Ichi-gun Intra-squad game on October 8: Ikusei pitcher Masato Sakata made an appearance. He faced six hitters and allowed one hit. He also struck out Seiichi Uchikawa swinging on a forkball.   • Hideaki Wakui tied Shohei Otani for most wins in the Pacific League. It was the third time he led the league in wins (2007, 2009, 2015). He is the thirteenth pitcher to lead the league in wins three or more times. He is also the seventh pitcher to lead the league in wins with two different teams. The other six: Victor Starffin (Yomiuri and Daiei), Takehiko Bessho (Nankai and Yomiuri), Tokuji Kawasaki (Yomiuri and Nishitetsu), Tomehiro Kaneda (Toei and Lotte), Hisashi Iwakuma (Kintetsu and Rakuten), and Seth Greisinger (Yakult, Yomiuri).
