[10/19/2015] Yokohama Bay Stars set to name Alex Ramirez their new manager

by on Oct.19, 2015 @ 9:27 am, under NPB

According to a number of report, the Yokohama Bay Stars are on their way to announcing Alex Ramirez as their new manager. The Bay Stars were looking for three things in their candidates: someone that could continue what Kiyoshi Nakahata started, someone with ties to Yokohama, and someone with coaching experience. Ramirez filled all three requirements to some degree. Yokohama is also planning to hire coaches that can provide Ramirez with support in his first year.

The Bay Stars could hold a press conference to announce the hiring as early as today.

Sanspo is reporting that the two sides may have agreed to a two-year deal worth some where in the neighborhood of seventy million yen a year.

Let’s hope they provide him with coaches who actually want to help him, rather than just spy on him for upper management.
