  • The posting period runs from November 1 until February 1, 2016. Under the new rules agreed to in December 2013, players can be posted for a maximum twenty million US dollars. MLB teams will then have thirty days after the fee is announced to sit down with players and work out a deal. The team that signs the player is required to pay the posting fee.

    Gen do u think that abreu will be up any time next year all? Cause I think he’s a good young player

      I don’t think the Giants would have signed him if they felt he didn’t have at least a shot at making the seventy-man roster. If they just needed a body, they probably could have found someone for less.
