  • Yuki Saito had a chance to sit down and talk to Kuriyama for about ten minutes regarding his future on October 30. During their conversation, he made sure Kuriyama understood that he appreciated the time he spent being a reliever this season and that the experience made him realize again just how important starting was for him.   • Yoshio Itoi took eighty-nine swings during the first day of fall camp on November 1 and hit ten over the fence. Source: Nikkan Sports 11/1/2015 ... Itoi went on a three-day fast for the first time in his life after the season ended. He lost about three kilograms. Source: Sponichi 11/2/2015
  • Osaka was accepting proposals for what to do with three unused plots of land inside Maishima Sports Island, in addition to proposals for how to make better use of Maishima Baseball Stadium. Orix apparently submitted a proposal to create a wide-range of baseball facilities for all age groups. Under the proposal, the company would purchase the stadium and borrow the land (two unused plots) from the city. The term for one of the unused plots of land and the land the stadium is standing on would be for fifty years beginning in April 2016. Rakuten Eagles

  • The Eagles announced that Ikusei catcher Tetsuya Yokoyama decided to retire. He will remain in the organization as a bullpen catcher. Source: official announcement ...
