Hank Aaron will be one of eighty-nine foreigners honored this weeks for their various achievements in the community. Aaron will be recognized for his efforts to promote exchanges between youths in the United States and Japan (and around the world) through baseball.

Aaron and Sadaharu Oh began by holding the first World Children's Baseball Fair in Los Angeles in the summer of 1990 as a way to promote the sport around the world by helping children learn the game. The two have continued their efforts by inviting over 200 boys and girls from over twenty nations and regions every year to each fair since 1992. They also established the World Children's Baseball Foundation in August 1992.
