Softbank Hawks

  • The Hawks are planning to send Seiji Uebayashi, Ren Kajiya, Ken Okamoto, Yusuke Masago, and Masahiro Harimoto to play winter ball in Taiwan for about three weeks later this month. Source: Nishinippon 11/7/2015, Daily Sports 11/7/2015

Nippon Ham Fighters

  • Yohei Kagiya threw sixty-five pitches in the bullpen on November 5. It was his first session during fall camp. He plans to work on his flexibility through yoga in November and December. He will then head to Hawaii in January to train with Hirokazu Sawamura. Source: Nikkan Sports 11/6/2015
  • The Hokkaido Ainu Association is asking the Fighters to show a little consideration by taking down one of their posters hanging in the Shin Chitose Airport lobby. The poster shows an image of Hideki Kuriyama with the phrase, "Hokkaido, the land of pioneers." The group claims the poster is offensive and shows no consideration for the Ainu. Nippon Ham told Kyodo News that it was all a misunderstanding and that the phrase was referring to sports, not Hokkaido. Source: Sponichi 11/7/2015

Chiba Lotte Marines

  • Eisuke Tanaka, Masaki Minami, Hiroya Kawamitsu, Kota Futaki, and later Atsushi Miyazaki were part of a fielding drill on November 7 that required each to flawlessly handle a set number of ground balls for the exercise to end. The session began a little before 1:00pm and did not end until 4:46pm because they had difficulty completing their turns without making any mistakes (one bobble and the session would restart from the beginning). • Three players (洪聖欽投手、林樺慶投手、林承飛内野手) from the Lamigo Monkeys (CPBL), as well as their manager (洪一中監督) and pitching coach (呉俊良投手コーチ), will be joining the team for workouts during fall camp, from November 6 until November 20. Source: Nikkan Sports 11/5/2015

Orix Buffaloes

  • Practice game against LG (KBO) on November 7: Yuto Yoshida collected two hits and three RBI. Source: Nikkan Sports 11/7/2015
  • Hiroyuki Nakajima is training in the United States. He asked the Buffaloes for permission and left in late October. He will continue his training in Los Angeles until later this month. Source: Sponichi 11/7/2015
  • The Buffaloes are thinking about adding Shunichi Sato to their seventy-man roster. Sato switched over to an Ikusei contract last winter because of injuries. Source: Nikkan Sports 11/6/2015
  • So Taguchi joined Kochi fall camp on November 7. He will leave the team again on November 8 because of other prior engagements and return on November 17. Source: Daily Sports 11/7/2015, Sports Hochi 11/7/2015

Rakuten Eagles

  • Yoshinao Kamata tossed a bullpen session on November 6. Masataka Nashida caught about ten of his pitches while standing. It was the first time he caught a pitcher in the bullpen since Yuki Saito in February 2011. Source: Nikkan Sports 11/6/2015
  • Tomohiro Anraku threw eighty-eight pitches in the bullpen on November 4. It was his third session in as many days since the start of fall camp (341 pitches in all). Source: Sanspo 11/5/2015
