Yamazaki fell apart in the 8th inning when he loaded the bases with two infield hits and a walk. A wild pitch and a two-run single by Takamatsu's Yonkebaku tied the game a three. Yamazaki allowed two more runs before getting out of the inning with Tsuruga Kehi down 5-3.
