Nikkan Sports posted a few details about Yuki Yanagita's thirty-four home runs in 2015.
- In the 1990s, forty-two percent of hitters with thirty or more home runs in a season were left-handed. Between 2000 and 2010, forty-three percent were left-hande. Since 2011, Yanagita and Shinnosuke Abe (thirty-two in 2013) were the only left-handed hitters to blast thirty or more home runs. The remaining seventeen hitters were right-handed.
- Of the nineteen hitters that have hit thirty or more home runs in a season since 2011, Yanagita is the only one to hit more than forty percent the other way. Every other hitter pulled their home runs at least fifty-six percent of the time.
