[8/26/2015] Nippon Taiiku University wins third straight 29th All-Japan University Women’s Rubber Baseball Tournament

The 29th All-Japan University Women's Rubber Baseball Tournament took place in Toyama between August 21 and 26. Nippon Taiiku University blanked Shigakkan University 7-0 in the finals game on August 26 for their third straight championship (eighteenth overall). Nihon Joshi Taiiku University finished in third place with their 4-3 victory over Mukogawa Joshi University.

Nippon Taiiku University will now go on to participate in the 21st Women's Rubber Baseball Japan Cup that begins on October 4 in Tokyo.

  • August 23 against Aichi Iryo Gakuin Tanki University, 21-1
  • August 24 against Tokyo Joshi Taiiku University, 3-2
  • August 25 against Mukogawa Joshi University, 6-1

[8/17/2015] 26th All-Japan Women’s Rubber Baseball Tournament: Chiba Marine Stars win second straight championship

The 26th All-Japan Women's Rubber Baseball Tournament took place earlier this month between August 8 and 10. The Chiba Marine Stars beat the Dullers 5-1 in a rematch from last year's tournament. For the Chiba Marine Stars, it was their sixth championship, second in as many years.

Chiba Marine Star Sachiko Sennosu was awarded the tournament MVP.

  • August 9 vs Sapporo Shers (12:30): 5-3
  • August 10 vs Tomakomai Gaillardia (10:30): 7-3

The 13th All-Japan Women's Student Rubber Baseball Tournament took place over the same three days. The Marine Stars Young blanked the Mitaka Club W, 2-0 in the finals. The Wings Jr. beat All Hyogo Jr 11-1 in the third place playoff game.

[8/6/2015] Kyoto Gaidai Nishi High School takes 11th All-Japan Women’s Baseball Tournament

The 11th All-Japan Women's Baseball Tournament took place in Matsuyama between August 1 and 5. Thirty-three teams (eight high school teams, six university teams, nineteen club teams) from all across Japan participated in the tournament. Kyoto Gaidai Nishi High School took home the championship trophy by beating Madonna Matsuyama 8-1 in the Finals on August 5.

Kyoto Gaidai Nishi joined Kamimura Gakuen as the only high schools to win the tournament.
