Tsuyoshi Nishioka was left out of the starting line-up today because of the cut he suffered on his left hand during Sunday's game against the Hiroshima Carp.  The cut was apparently deeper than originally thought and would normally require a few days off.

Nishioka had the hand taped up today.  He did not take outdoor batting or fielding practice.  He was supposed to return to second today.
