The Hiroshima Carp announced today that they came to terms with thirty-year-old infielder Jesus Guzman.
According to various news reports, the two sides agreed to a one-year deal worth an estimated 100 million yen plus incentives with a signing bonus of 36.5 million yen. A uniform number has not yet been assigned to Guzman. A team official told reporters the organization had been following Guzman for about three years.
