The Yomiuri Giants officially announced that they finalized a deal with right-handed pitcher Manny Acosta (31).  According to a number of reports, the Giants signed Acosta to a one-year deal worth an estimated 100 million yen.  He was also assigned the number forty-nine.  Yomiuri plans to use Acosta in a relief role.
